The release date for Sonic Frontiers may have been leaked by a certain listing, which was spotted on Steam by eagle-eyed observers.

PlayStation Lifestyle reports that the upcoming open-world title featuring the iconic speedy hedgehog could launch on November 8th. The date was spotted via a backend update to the game's official Steam page. But the release date itself isn't the most interesting thing about the leak. That's because another open-world game, Ubisoft's Skull And Bones, is also due the same day.
Again, that's not all. The next day (November 9th), Santa Monica Studios is due to launch God Of War Ragnarok, which is perhaps THE most hotly anticipated game of this year. So if the Sonic Frontiers release date leak is accurate, then it's going to be scuffling with a couple of industry heavyweights - which could not end well for the new Sonic title.
Aside from the release date, the Steam leak also purportedly said there will be Steam Achievements (duh), as well as cloud streaming function, full gamepad support. However, some might not like that Sonic Frontiers also has the dreaded Denuvo DRM protection on it, which could lead to a few performance hiccups (as evidenced by a few other games recently).
Either way, the leaked Sonic Frontiers release date is more or less in line with its Holiday 2022 release window. But this is also not really the first time that a release date was leaked. According to a separate report by Comic Book, the backend for the game's PlayStation Store version said the game will launch on November 15th.
A release in November is already a pretty busy thing to do, since multiple big launches are happening in that same month (Ragnarok and Skull And Bones, to name a few). However, considering how fans of the titular hedgehog can be a very dedicated bunch, they're not going to let that stop them from getting their copy of the game on release day.
If you're looking forward to Frontiers, then you better get to setting your priorities straight. That is assuming you're also getting a few other games alongside it. It's going to be a very busy November if this new leak (or even the other one) turns out to be accurate.

Everything We Know So Far About Sonic Frontiers
As previously mentioned, Frontiers is an open-world game featuring the titular Sega mascot in perhaps the biggest game world in the franchise ever. According to GamesRadar, the game is designed to let players zip through to new locations in an "open-zone freedom" design style. However, it does have one setting: Starfall Islands, a world home to different biomes like forests, deserts, lush waterfalls, and more.
Developer Sonic Team is being led by game director Mario Kishimoto, who will help bring the first console release of the franchise since Sonic Forces back in 2017. The game's story will likely not stray too far out of its original formula - aka Sonic trying to thwart the evil plans of Dr. Eggman (except it's not Jim Carrey this time around).
