LOOK: This Elden Ring Player Has Maxed Out The Game's Playtime

An Elden Ring Player Played So Much He Broke The In-Game Playtime Counter

Elden Ring is one of the best and most polarizing games to ever release, and a lot of people think and feel the same. Perhaps you've played through it for so many hours now, but you'll likely not come close to this guy's overall playtime.

A player by the handle JayzRebellion15 recently posted a screenshot of their playtime on Reddit, and it shows that they've basically maxed out the game's playtime counter. According to GameRant, the playtime has actually not budged past the 999:59:59 mark, which could mean that this is the maximum amount of hours that the game's counter can display. Who knows how many more hours he's logged in after the fact?

Here's the Reddit post, which has earned around 500 upvotes at the time of this writing:

But perhaps what's even more amazing about the feat is the platform Elden Ring was played on. JayzRebellion15 played on an Xbox One, which is the platform that you're actually NOT advised to get the FromSoftware game for because of serious performance issues. But while he didn't make it clear whether he played on the base console or the far more powerful One S or One X, the fact that he only said "Xbox One" could mean he played on the OG system - which is a feat in itself.

A few others in the Reddit post's comment section did the math on how long he had to have played the game to reach this point. They calculated that JayzRebellion15 played around 7 and a half hours per day on average since release. That's assuming he played 7 days a week straight since February 25th - the day the game came out.

Either way, this Elden Ring feat is an impressive one to say the least, which also serves as further proof of the game's replay value. Even after the credits roll, players can still go on adventures due to things such as the dedicated PvP invasions, as well as New Game+ mode. You can technically make this game go on forever if you want to.

Elden Ring is out now for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

How Long To Beat Elden Ring?

No, you don't have to spend almost 1000 hours to beat the open-world Soulsborne from FromSoftware. JayzRebellion15 might've just done a lot of sidequesting, boss fights, rune farming, and PvP battles to reach the max playtime. But if you're wondering just how long it takes to beat the game, here are a few stats.

According to How Long To Beat, the game's main story could take you around 51 and a half hours to complete. If you rush through it, you can trim it down to 32 hours. And if you take your time but still only focus on the main campaign, you can spend 64 hours on average.

But things get crazy when you finally indulge in the game's side content. Playing the main story plus a few extras at your own pace could easily rack up 192 hours. And a full, leisurely completionist run will take 247 hours.

JayzRebellion15's playtime is kind of an outlier, but you'll still spend so much time (perhaps even as much as he has) on Elden Ring if you turn out to really love how it plays. so, how long to beat Elden Ring? The real answer is, "it depends on you."
