Xbox One Update- Blu-ray Player Support, Improved Headset Firmware, Silent Reboot

Another Xbox One Updates Improves the Blu-Ray Player, Controller, and Headset

Microsoft sure is pushing out a lot of updates for the Xbox One. Just yesterday they announced that you'll finally be able to upload video clips straight to Youtube, and last month they added all kinds of requested features, like an updated Friends system and improved Kinect firmware. Now they are updating it once again to include Blu-ray player support, firmware updates for the controller and headset, and an improved reboot.

The Blu-ray player update the app to add 50Hz video output for content recorded at 50Hz. This is something that the PS3 has had for ages so it's an important one- you don't want to find out that your shiny new console can't play certain movies you own, after all.

The firmware updates for the controller and headset adapter will reduce audio static and improve wireless connectivity.

The silent reboot will allow your console to instantly turn itself back on after an update. It seems like a little feature but it's definitely an appreciated one, especially with the amount of updates they're slinging at Xbox One owners month after month. All you need to do is leave your console on Instant On mode and the system updates will happen automatically and return to standby mode after it's installed.

Right now these features are being pushed out to Xbox One preview program members. Did you get your update yet and if so, what do you want to see next? Let us know in the comments.
