The announcement that Persona 5 (alongside Persona 3 and 4) is coming to Game Pass on Xbox and PC sent shockwaves throughout the game industry. But that was actually only the tip of the iceberg.
That's because according to GameRant, the Persona 5 PC and Xbox ports will actually come with over 40 pieces of DLC. This was repealed by the official Japanese site for the Persona series, which is absolutely massive news for the fans of the JRPG franchise. As for Persona 3 and 4, the aforementioned blog post didn't say anything much.
Here are the pieces of DLC you can expect from the Game Pass release of the game. You will get several different costumes and Personas from across the entire series, item packs that will help you out when you start the game, and powerful foes to test your skills against via battle challenges.
Aside from that, players can also expect some aesthetic items from other games by developer Atlus. This includes content inspired by games Catherine, Persona Q2, and the Persona Dancing series. Here is an English translation of the official tweet announcing the DLC, courtesy of Twitter user Faz:

For those who might be worried that the Persona 5 PC and Xbox ports will make players overpowered early, perhaps that's not much of a problem. That's because a good chunk of the DLCs will be mostly aesthetic and have no impact on the gameplay. So if you're looking for challenge, you'll get it when you finally get your hands on the game via PC/Xbox Game Pass.
The only problem with this, however, is that Game Pass subscribers will be basically getting the DLC for dirt cheap/free. Those who might have already owned the DLC on other platforms may feel slighted, though it's not really the fault of Game Pass subscribers at the end of the day.
Either way, Persona 5 is now a lock for Microsoft's platforms after spending years as a PlayStation exclusive/first release. The game with its DLCs will be available on October 21st for the PC, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series X/S.

Some Backlash Over The Persona 5 PC/Xbox Game Pass Announcement
With the impending arrival of three excellent Persona games to Xbox and PC, one group of gamers were a little bit... disappointed: Nintendo Switch owners. The main reason, as per Inverse, is that the JRPG franchise will have already covered the three main platforms (PC, PlayStation, Xbox) but still avoided Nintendo's handheld almost entirely.
Sure, there are several Persona games on the Switch, but those were all spinoffs. Fans have seemingly long-wanted the mainline games of the popular JRPG series on Nintendo's handheld, to no avail - but perhaps their prayers will soon be answered.
In a recent report by ComicBook.com, rumors from game journalist Nacho Requena seem to indicate that the next Nintendo Direct will feature announcements related to the Persona series. The show itself will put a considerable focus on third-party games, though Requena has declined to give a lot of specifics.
For now, Xbox and PC gamers are going to reap the rewards of their Game Pass subscriptions very soon.
