No list of the most prolific survival horror games will ever be complete without Resident Evil. A franchise that already spans decades and has spread to other media beyond video games, to say that it has been a success for Capcom is the understatement of the century.
In fact, many of the older Resident Evil games have been getting remakes as of late, including Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 4. Absent from that list, at least as of press time, is Resident Evil Zero, a game in the franchise that some do not even know exists.
Does the name Rebecca Chambers even ring a bell?
Resident Evil Zero: The Prequel to the Original Game
Resident Evil Zero was developed for the Nintendo GameCube and released in 2002. This game actually serves as the prequel of 1996's Resident Evil.
The story of the game follows the special police force unit known as the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team sent out to investigate a series of murders. Specifically, it follows the main characters, officer Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen, who is a convict.
According to GameSpot, "As Rebecca Chambers, a rookie cop, or Billy Cowen, an escaped convict, you'll fight zombies, solve challenging puzzles, and slowly uncover the truth behind the murders."

Does Rebecca Chambers Appear in Other Resident Evil Games?
If you consider the answer to the question above as a spoiler, we are about to give the answer. You have been warned.
Depending on how long you have been a fan of the franchise and how into it you are, you may or may not know who Rebecca Chambers is.
If you do not know who she is, we do not blame you. Aside from Resident Evil Zero, the only other games she ever appears in is Resident Evil as a supporting character, in the Mercenaries Reunion mini game of Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition as a playable character, and in Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D as an unlockable character.
It should be noted that she plays minor roles in the other games that are not Zero. If you happen to be a fan of the character and want to see her feature somewhere more prominently once more, she joins Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield in the CGI film "Resident Evil: Vendetta."
