Elden Ring Dataminer Discovers Potentially Cut Questlines For Two Bosses

Vyke And Mohg Could've Had Questlines Dedicated To Them In Elden Ring

Elden Ring is already so full of secrets on its own, that listing them all down in one article would be a huge challenge. But perhaps this one, which is obtained via a datamine, is something ordinary players will never ever see - unless they have the right skills, that is.

An Elden Ring datamine operation by known Souls series dataminer Sekiro Dubi discovered what could be potentially cut questlines involving two bosses. Those bosses, as per PCGamer, were Vyke, Knight of the Roundtable, and Mohg, the Lord of Blood.

In game, you meet Vyke in Liurnia and on the Mountaintops of the Giants as an Evergaol boss. His main deal is that he's also a Tarnished just like the player, but he was only good enough to become an *almost* Elden Lord. He posted a video of an NPC whose dialog actually doesn't have official subtitles, talking about a "repulsive looking knight" whose armor was melted inwards and "practically falling apart":

In the Elden Ring datamine, Sekiro Dubi says you might've encountered Vyke as actually a friendly NPC earlier in the game in Stormveil Castle. Aside from that, Dubai also reportedly found a bunch of conversation prompts with Vyke where the audio files are missing, as well as a summonable version of him.

It's more or less the same thing with Mohg, the Lord of Blood. The datamine also reveals that he has unused dialog files without audio, which was supposed to ask you if you want to join the Bloody Fingers (basically he wants you to serve him). To cap things off, this specific version of Mohg was supposed to be met somewhere else in the game - in the Altus Plateau, much earlier in the story.

Either way, a game as big as FromSoftware's first open-world Soulsborne will always have some cut content from it. It's a fact of life in the game industry. As such, something like this isn't too surprising at the very least, but also could be something that makes you think about how the game would've been different at launch.

Other Interesting Things Found In Elden Ring Via Datamining

The reveal of potentially cut quests for Vyke and Mohg are far from the only interesting things found via an Elden Ring datamine. As reported by ComicBook.com, dataminer Zullie the Witch found out that the annoying stone chariots inside Hero's Graves are far more than they initially seem.

While they might look like animated environmental hazards, the datamine actually revealed them as NPCs that players can technically "ride" because they have an attach point for riding, just like how you'd ride Torrent. Not without really weird glitching, however.

Aside from that, you can actually kill them even if you can't damage them by making use of some hidden trick. That's because their health is actually only 1HP. Here's a video from Zullie explaining the other things they found during the datamine:

How about you? What interesting things have you found in Elden Ring via datamining - or just playing through FromSoftware's newest title?
