We're inching ever closer to the launch of the long-awaited wizarding RPG Hogwarts Legacy, and developer Avalanche Software is slowly trickling out new gameplay videos to wet fans' appetites.

This time, they released a short video on Twitter teasing the game's puzzles, which will litter both the iconic wizarding school and the surrounding open world. According to GameRant, it looks like the puzzle tease was already being well-received as fans are already speculating about what they might contain. Here's the video if you want to see it:

As you can see there, the video doesn't show a lot of concrete information about how the puzzles in Hogwarts Legacy will work. But one might assume that the spells you learn in the game will be integral to solving them, evidenced by the magical nature of what was shown - like the painting that turns out to be a door at the tail-end of the video.
This new Hogwarts Legacy gameplay snippet follows the most recent one, which tackles the next-gen immersion features afforded by the PlayStation 5's DualSense controller. The trailer, which was released late last month, shows features that would likely make puzzle-solving in the wizarding world RPG so much more immersive as players will basically get to "feel" the spells they cast.
Hogwarts Legacy gameplay was first introduced to the world with a trailer around two months ago during State Of Play. The trailer itself was quite well-received, and it got long-time fans of the franchise wanting riddles and puzzles to be a big part of the game.
As reported by SportsKeeda, fans took to the Harry Potter Game subreddit to voice their opinions. They say that since puzzles and riddles were a massive part of the older Harry Potter, games, there's no reason for them to not be included in Hogwarts Legacy when it comes out. Well, looks like they've gotten their wish, and it's safe to assume that expectations have reached an all-time high.
Hogwarts Legacy is scheduled to launch later this year for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

In Hogwarts Legacy, players will get to live out their wizarding world fantasies as an actual student of the school. In there, they will get sorted into the four iconic schools and attend classes most of them will be familiar with - defense against the dark arts, herbology, and others. However, this really won't matter much if specific rumors about the game's platforms would make it out of reach for most players - specifically those playing on last-gen consoles.
As reported by GamingBibleUK, the cancelation of Gotham Knights' last-gen versions fueled fears that Hogwarts Legacy will do the same - considering both are Warner Bros properties. But some fans say there's a glimmer of hope in the fact that the game will also come to the Switch. If it can run on that tiny Nintendo handheld, then it's basically impossible for it not to run on the PS4 or Xbox One.
