This Assassin's Creed Fan Beat All 12 Main Games Without Ever Taking Damage

Watch as an Assassin's Creed fan beats all 12 main games without taking any damage

The Assassin's Creed series isn't really known for revolutionary combat mechanics, but you have to admit that this is one amazing feat in itself.

YouTuber Hayete Bahadori, who we can assume is a long-time fan of Ubisoft's stabathon franchise, set out on a quest to complete all mainline AC games without ever taking damage. And as reported by GameRant, he managed to do just that: all 12 main games from the very first one to Valhalla, and there's video of it all as proof.

But what's even more astounding is that Bahadori managed to achieve the feat on the highest difficulties - at least on the games that had the option to change it. That's because the AC franchise never had adjustable difficulty until 2017's Origins.

Before setting off on the quest, however, Bahadori set some very specific rules for their playthrough of the entire franchise. First off, all health bars must be limited to only 100% capacity. Aside from that, reloads or restarts were also prohibited in specific games that gave gameplay benefits from full synchronization.

Lastly, Bahadori also indicated that any instances of damage that were "developer intended" (i.e. the time when Altair loses one bar of health after damaging Al Mualim during the final fight in AC1) were excused.

The entire run started with Bahadori's playthrough of the original Assassin's Creed back in October of last year. That playthrough, according to the aforementioned YouTuber, took two months to complete. You can watch the five-and-a-half hour run on Bahadori's channel here, with the video being split into the game's 7 Memory Blocks (aka sequences):

In the video (and all subsequent videos covering the AC series no damage playthrough), Bahadori claims that the feat is a "world first." However, it's not really the first game series they played through without taking damage, as they also posted playthroughs of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Kena: Bridge Of Spirits, and is currently working on a similar God Of War 2018 playthrough.

Not Without Failures

Of course, any no-damage playthrough of a game will not have any sort of failure or technical difficulties along the way. For instance, some games basically took forever to beat without incurring any damage. Black Flag took Bahadori 250 hours to beat, for instance, and the newest entry, Valhalla, took an insane 800 hours - some of the challenges even coming down to luck.

At the end of the challenge, Bahadori concluded that specific Assassin's Creed games proved perfect for it. Odyssey, they say, was the best for a no-damage run as there is no developer-intended damage instances for the entire game. The best combat, they say, goes to Valhalla, while Unity had the best stealth mechanics - something that a lot of people have agreed on in recent years despite Unity's troubled launch all those years ago.

You can watch all of the playthroughs on Bahadori's YouTube channel.
