Are you ready for the last #SteamSpotlight feature this week? We totally are! What makes today's feature even more exciting is that it is the 20th entry into the series. Time really does fly when you are having fun talking about video game after video game, right?
For the past 19 #SteamSpotlight features, we have featured survival horror games, simulation games, and even space-themed games. Today's feature falls under the last category, but there is no shooting hordes of aliens. There is no planet hopping happening in this game either.
Instead, you get to clean.
Wondering just what in the world are we talking about? Well, let us tell you more about Viscera Cleanup Detail.
#SteamSpotlight Feature: Viscera Cleanup Detail
Viscera Cleanup Detail is published and developed by RuneStorm. Released in 2015, this seven-year-old game is a science fiction simulation game.
According to the official website of the game, the premise of the story revolves around an alien invasion that has been successfully repelled by the humans. Like all kinds of wars and battles, this one between humans and aliens has left quite a mess behind.
What you are in this game is a basically a janitor and it is your job to clean up the mess the failed alien invasion and subsequent battle left behind.
Now if you are thinking that Viscera Cleanup Detail is a space-themed janitor simulation, you got that right. It might not be as easy as you might think it is, however, especially when you consider the fact that you have to deal with worker bodies, a lot of blood, spent cartridges, and more while you are cleaning up.

Other Things You Have to Know About Viscera Cleanup Detail
You do not have to worry because you will be equipped with your handy dandy mop to help you clean up. Aside from your trusty mop, the game's Steam page says you will also get to use a sniffer tool, dispenser machines, and more so that you get the job done.
You do not have a set time limit to clean up a particular area and you can punch out anytime if you think you are done and ready to head to the next level. However, we warn you that there will be penalties if you do not fully complete a level.
Furthermore, you can even get fired if you do not sufficiently clean the area for a specific level and end up scoring less than 75%.
We know that cleaning can get tiring and, well, sometimes it is a lot more of fun to just add to the mess already around you. Viscera Cleanup Detail actually lets you do just that and even invite friends to help you make a bigger mess, according to the game's Steam page. Of course, you can also enlist your friends to help you clean too.
