A total of 20 PSVR 2 games will be ready at launch recording to Sony. This has been confirmed from both third party and first-party sony playstation developers, in a recent investors call, what's was persuaded by sony interactive entertainment head Jim Ryan.
According to a report by PlayStationLifestyle.net, there are already a few confirmed games for the next generation of PlayStation VR. The only game that is confirmed id Horizon: Call of the Mountain from acclaimed first-party PlayStation developer Guerrilla Games. A few other games from studios such as nDreams, Fast Travel Games, and Coatsink could also be included.
Here's what Jim Ryan had to say about the upcoming games for PSVR 2, as reported by Video Games Chronicle:
"Right now there is a considerable amount of money being spent on partnerships with independent and other third-party developers to secure a considerable pipeline of attractive VR content at the launch of PlayStation VR 2. That energy that effort and money will continue to grow as the installed base of PSVR 2 headsets grows also."
But aside from a few confirmed games, there are also hints that other unannounced games are going to be revealed soon. For now, though, the games you'll be reading about are mere rumors and not confirmed yet.
Among the games that are rumored to be included is an alleged VR version of Half-Life Alyx - the latest title in the acclaimed Half-Life franchise from Valve. There's also the rumored new game from Hideo Kojima (a new game aside from Death Stranding 2), and another unannounced game from the studio that developed Firewall Zero Hour.
You can check out the entire presentation on Sony.com if you want to see it in its entirety.
Aside from the games), Sony has also revealed some of the technical specs that people can expect from the new playstation vr headset for the ps5. They say that connecting the headset to the ps5 is as simple as connecting a single cord to the console - all in an attempt to simplify the headset's setup and make it easier to use. The new controllers are also designed to be more ergonomic, while also having the same haptic feedback and adaptive trigger technology found in the PS5's DualSense controller.

What Else Is Known About PSVR 2?
It looks to be that a lot of the previously rumored specs of the new PlayStation VR headset were quite accurate. The headset does feature 4k HDR display, which is delivered by two 2000 x 2040 OLED displays for each eye. Each of these displays is capable of delivering as much as 120 FPS, which will make the overall virtual reality experience smooth and responsive.
To cap things off, the PSVR 2 headset is also going to feature eye tracking technology which Sony says will allow for a " heightened emotional response and enhanced expression" when interacting with fellow players online. This description looks to be a hint at Sony's desire to be a major player in the metaverse.
Ask for the potential release date, there are still no official hints. Some industry insiders do say that an official PSVR 2 event might be held as early as next month. These rumors intensified after Sony first revealed the headset during GDC 2022. And there's also a bed of confidence that the event for the VR games will be separate from an upcoming PlayStation showcase which is said to be scheduled around the time that a E3 2022 would have taken place.
