The Xbox 360 version of Titanfall is out tomorrow, and footage of the port has surfaced online from people who were able to get the game early.
The last-gen version hasn't exactly been a priority--it was developed by a different studio than the Xbox One and PC version, and saw its launch date pushed back several weeks from its originally planned March 25 release.
Titanfall has been extremely successful with its Twitch streaming numbers, so it's not too surprising those who had the game early are eager to get their footage online.
Developer Bluepoint Games is behind the port, a task at which it has become something of an expert. The studio has done ports of God of War, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus and Metal Gear Solid in the past. They are also responsible for bringing Flower to the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, and porting Sony's character battle game PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale to Vita, as well.
Bluepoint recently promised the game would be the same Titanfall experience as the other platforms, despite its production changing hands.
"Titanfall on the Xbox 360 is the true experience: all the maps, modes, pilots, titans, weapons, burn cards, you name it, found in the Xbox One and PC versions," Bluepoint Senior Producer Daryl Allison said.
"The game looks great, sounds great, and above all it plays great. There are of course some differences that are due to the technical limitations of the hardware--for example, the game runs above 30fps--but the experts at Respawn worked with us to ensure that all the intense, 6v6 wall-running, titan-dropping action is there."
The launch delay was made to just tweak and improve the game further, as they felt the extra time allowed them to make changes that would noticeably improve the end product consumers will see. It's an admirable goal, and we'll have to see how it plays out when the game launches tomorrow. For now, check out the early video below and see if there are any major differences from the main versions that you can spot.
