If you're grinding your teeth waiting for the next big PlayStation showcase, you might have to wait a while.
That's because some rumors are suggesting that fans won't get a look at the biggest upcoming PlayStation games until September. According to WCCFTech, the rumors come from numerous industry insiders - including one that isn't even connected to PlayStation or Sony at all.
That aforementioned insider is the XboxEra podcast's Nick "Shpeshal Nick" Baker, who also mentioned that a new Sly Cooper game is currently in development. He says that the game isn't going to be revealed during E3 season (i.e. June), but September.
Here is the latest episode of the XboxEra podcast where he made his statement. Be sure to check the 1:45 mark:
Another insider who goes by the name AcountNgt basically backed Baker up about the Sly Cooper rumors. But they also shared more details, saying that Sony and PlayStation isn't likely to conduct a new big games showcase before September. They also mentioned that a new InFamous game could be revealed there.
To cap things off, AcountNgt also said that the rumored new Sly Cooper game is being handled by another developer, instead of the original team at Sucker Punch Productions (via WCCFTech). Aside from that, the web domain for the series seems to have been renewed by SuckerPunch recently, as per WhoIs.com.
Many fans have been waiting on brands like PlayStation to conduct their own games showcase events, considering E3 2022 has been canceled both physically and digitally. But remember to take these rumors with a grain of salt, as they're just that - rumors.

What Could Fans Expect From The Next Big PlayStation Event?
Well, the answer to this question is simple: a lot. That's because there are still so many other big AAA PlayStation games that have been announced without release dates or vague release windows.
For one, fans will certainly want more information on God Of War: Ragnarok. After being announced with a trailer during the 2021 PlayStation Showcase, there's been barely any news about it - other than it's both coming to the PS4 and PS5, just like with Sony's first big-name exclusive for the year: Horizon Forbidden West.
Originally slated to release last year, Ragnarok was delayed to this year for reasons that weren't shared by Santa Monica Studios. There were even rumors saying that it might get delayed to 2023, to which Santa Monica Studios reaffirmed that Ragnarok is still on track to come out this year (via ComicBook).
There must also be more news about other big upcoming Sony projects like PSVR 2, as well as the two upcoming Insomniac Games Marvel titles: Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine. But of course, other first-party studios could also reveal new games for the first time, but until an official date is set for the next showcase, one can only hope.
