Sony launched its new online gaming dictionary. Thanks to this new tool, gamers will now look more professional as they learn more terms that are unfamiliar to other players.
Believe it or not, there are many long-time gamers who are still unfamiliar with the most popular gaming terms.
They are either playing titles that don't really need verbal communication or they tend to focus on the actual gameplay instead of knowing gaming words or phrases.
This is what Sony's new PlayStation gaming dictionary wants to solve. Now here's what you need to access this online tool.
PlayStation Gaming Dictionary Arrives!
According to Sony's official website, the only thing that fans need is a PlayStation account. If you already have one, just visit the gaming dictionary's official website and use your account.

Metro UK's latest report explained that the new online tool of Sony is meant to explain difficult terms used in complicated titles. These include ray-tracing, PvP, ARPG, RPG, and other words that most players are unfamiliar with.
It covers the whole alphabet, from A to Z. However, some of the words in the new PlayStation dictionary are already outdated.
For example, the term frame rate is now described properly by the new gaming tool. It doesn't include the role of frame rate when it comes to gameplay controls.
Aside from this, Sony's new gaming dictionary also states that CRPG means computer role-playing game when it is supposed to be a "classic role-playing game."
Sample Terms on PlayStation Gaming Dictionary
For those who haven't visited the new gaming dictionary for PlayStation players, here are some of the words explained in the tool.
- Bullet sponge
- Escort mission
- Easter egg
- De-buff
- Haptic feedback
- Fast travel
- Git gud
- Juggling
- JRPG
The new PlayStation gaming dictionary still allows players to access it even without logging into their PlayStation accounts. However, the meanings of some terms or words are not completely provided if PlayStation accounts are not used.
