The Destiny 2 dungeon pass now has a definitive release date: May 27th, and it's bringing a lot of goodies with it.
According to GamesRadar, the $20 pass will launch on the day starting at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET/6 PM BST. It recommends that players have a Power level of 1550 if they plan to go on Normal difficulty. There's also a Master difficulty level available during the launch, though developer Bungie still hasn't revealed its Power requirements yet.
However, you will only have to pay $20 to get the new Destiny 2 dungeon pass (separate from the typical expansion pack and other season passes) if you didn't buy The Witch Queen's digital deluxe edition. Otherwise, the $20 will be needed so you can buy the Witch Queen Dungeon Key for 20,000 silver in the Eververse shop.
Bungie detailed a few more information about the new dungeon on their news page. In there, the brand-new dungeon will have these items available:
-
1 Legendary armor set per class, with Artifice versions available only on the Master difficulty level
-
A total of 6 new weapons, including 4 Legendaries and 2 Legendary Reprised weapons
-
1 Exotic weapon, Catalyst, and Accessory, the latter of which could either be a Ship or Sparrow)
-
2 Legendary Emblems
Before you manage to grab this loot, however, the dungeon is going to throw more challenges at you. Either way, Polygon calls the new Destiny 2 dungeon the pinnacle endgame content for Season 17. Other than that, though, there's no indication of what the dungeon's theme might be like, or even where in the game world it's going to take place.
One thing you'll notice is that the dungeon's release comes a few days after the launch of Season 17. For some players, that fact likely won't matter much as there are other goodies and big changes coming with the update soon.

More Changes Coming With The New Dungeon
Outside of the dungeon's arrival, Bungie made sure that they're going to implement sweeping changes across the game. Perhaps the biggest one is the increase in vault size - which is something that so many Destiny 2 players have begged Bungie to do so, writes Kotaku.
This time around, players will now have 600 slots on their vaults space. This would be excellent news for people out there who just like to hoard in-game items as much as possible. What this means now is that you won't need to get rid of junk just to make room for the new Exotic items, including guns and armor.
With the vault space increase, long-time players of the Destiny series will have come a long way. When everything began back in 2014, there were only 20 armor and 20 gun slots availabe. This was expanded to 200 slots when Destiny 2 came out, and more than doubled to 500 upon the release of the Forsaken Expansion.
Now you can hoard as much as you want.
