xQc has called out so-called stream snipers on his recent stream, saying that Twitch should permanently ban them.
The Twitch streaming star and former Overwatch League pro refers to these snipers as "TTV Andys," because they have a tendency to include the letters TTV in their usernames, writes GameRant. He calls for the popular streaming platform to ban them after he was having quite a hard time playing a few rounds of Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt.
In a short clip titled "Message to all ttvs" posted on his channel, xQc (Felix Lengyel in real life), he called out the snipers while also calling for them to be permanently banned.
Technically, stream sniping is already covered by Twitch's official guidelines. So, anybody who performs it for any reason (mostly to leech viewers off of other streamers) should already be punished. The guidelines read as follows:
"Any activities such as cheating hacking botting, or tampering, that gives the account owner an unfair advantage in an online multiplayer game, is prohibited. This also includes exploiting another broadcaster's live broadcast in order to harass them in-game, such as stream sniping."
But despite the clear indication of the rules, stream sniping remains to be a massive problem on Twitch. And it seems like xQc, even if he's one of the biggest names on the platform, keeps on falling victim to these folks.
Here is a compilation of him being stream sniped while playing Fortnite, uploaded by the YouTube channel Daily Dose of xQc:
It is not known whether Twitch has responded to Lengyel's proclamations live on air. But it is a universally acclaimed fact that stream sniping is a massive problem, which affects not only big streamers like xQc but also channels whose viewership numbers are growing.

What Is Stream Sniping, Exactly?
If you know what stream snipers do, then maybe you'd understand why xQc is so pissed off about them. Because frankly, they can be very annoying and disruptive in the grand scheme of things.
According to DotESports, stream sniping is an activity wherein people use someone else's live broadcast to either gain information on that person or sabotage the streamer entirely. What these people do is queue up into the same matches these streamers play in, then try to eliminate them as early as possible - for whatever reasons they have.
Once these snipers achieve what they want, the streamer they're sabotaging will almost always send the person into a rage-fueled, expletive-filled rant that might get them banned from Twitch or another streaming platform altogether. If you know how xQc plays, then you should know that he's not immune from making such a rant.
If you're a budding content creator and you see your numbers growing, you could be a victim of snipers. To prevent falling into the trap, BusinessInsider advises that you use your platform's preventive measures against this kind of online behavior. Twitch's broadcast delay feature is a perfect example because it only allows snipers to see your movement after a few seconds. Thus, they won't know where you are.
