Pyke is one of the most unusual heroes in the Summoner's Rift. When he first arrived in League of Legends, he was supposed to be an assassin hero.
But, some players prefer to use him as a support hero. He is usually positioned on the bot lane part. Because of this, the Pyke support meta was created.

Although this is the case, some issues are still experienced by various teams. When their teammates pick Pyke, they expect them to be a support.
However, there are some instances when their teammates use Pyke as an assassin hero instead. Now, with the new passive, this champion will feel more of a support champion than an assassin.
Pyke's New Passive Gives More Gold
According to Dot Esports' latest report, the new passive of Pyke offers more gold to teammates. "If there is a nearby ally champion, Pyke's basic attack will execute minions or wards and grant that ally the gold instead of himself. This has a 50s cooldown," stated in the ability description.

The new passive of Pyke is already available in "League of Legends" PBE (Public Beta Environment). This means that Riot Games is still testing this new skill.
Some gamers who were able to use Pyke in PBE said that the new passive is similar to the item "Relic Shield." Based on the available details, Pyke will now be more of a support hero than an assassin champion.
If players build Relic Shield, the item and Pyke's new passive can combine the gold they provide to teammates. Aside from these two, Riot Games' official blog post also explained that the ultimate of Pyke allows teammates to receive the same gold that Pyke gets when last hitting enemy heroes.
New Pyke passive range for 2 enemys is 1500 units, basically Hook-Flash range. Would be lovely if riot say the range in the Patch notes because ''nearby'' can be interpretated so differently pic.twitter.com/fEy4A8FeHA

With these the new passive, Pyke's ultimate, and Relic Shield, your team will get more gold in a short period, allowing you to build the items you need in the early game.
Other Benefits of Pyke's New Passive
Aside from additional gold, the new passive ability also increases the Maximum Health to Attack Damage. Instead of having one AD from 14 HP, you will get the maximum benefit of the additional health power.
For example, if an item you build grants an additional 400 HP, you will have an additional 400 AD instead. This will allow your SS to deal more damage to your enemy champions.
