Sega's Super Game Initiative
As previously mentioned, the rumored revival of both titles is said to be part of the gaming company's Super Game initiative. The term "Super Game" was used by Sega last year when the company announced that it was considering a partnership with Microsoft, according to a separate report by SlashGear.
According to SlashGear, "By Sega's own admission, the intention behind Super Game is to focus on four key areas: 'Global, Online, Community, and IP utilization.'"
"Which means these proposed reboots might not follow the same structure as their progenitors as both examples didn't really utilize online play at the time," the publication adds.
