A game developer working on a still-unannounced PlayStation game says that Sony has another "banger" up its sleeves aside from God of War Ragnarok.
The developer, according to a report by GameRant, has been working on the aforementioned project for "3-5 years." Robert Morrison, a visual arts developer for PlayStation Studios, says that the project he's part of is not God of War Ragnarok but is "something equally cool."
Morrison shared his statements on Twitter recently, as retweeted here by user Okami13:

Aside from Morrison's claims, however, there's no way to indicate which project he's talking about. But it should be something pretty big to be called a "banger," considering Sony is already hyping up Ragnarok ahead of its release. As per ComicBook.com, it could very well launch alongside the Santa Monica epic as PlayStation's answer to the biggest upcoming Xbox exclusives.
Despite the lack of definitive information, fans are still sharing their theories on what Morrison could be working on. Many people point to a next-gen remake of 2013's The Last Of Us as the "most obvious," as per a report by DualShockers.
However, it could very well be just another still-unannounced PlayStation Studios title. Perhaps the closest thing to this rumor is the new PS5-exclusive horror game being built by the studio Firesprite, known for creating the augmented reality (AR) title The Playroom and Run! Sackboy Run!
The game is reportedly being built using Unreal Engine 5, which might be why it's a PS5-exclusive. Firesprite was one of the most recent acquisitions by Sony last year.

Other Upcoming BIG PlayStation Games That Are Announced
So there's this "banger" of a PlayStation exclusive coming soon. Neat. But what about the ones which have already been announced?
Well, you already know about God of War Ragnarok, Gran Turismo 7, and Horizon Forbidden West (check out our review here), with the last two having already been released last February and March. But other big names are coming this year, some of which are releasing this year, while others are slated for next year and beyond.
- Saints Row Remake: Aug. 23
- Forspoken: Oct. 11
- Gotham Knights: Oct. 25
- Hogwarts Legacy: TBA
- Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League: (TBA)
- Sonic Frontiers: TBA
- Stray: TBA
- Little Devil Inside: TBA
- A Plague Tale: Requiem: TBA
- Beyond Good And Evil 2: TBA
All of these games are scheduled to release either on the last-gen PS4 and current-gen PS5 or both of them. The few next-gen exclusives are going to be A Plague Tale: Requiem and Forspoken, but others will still release on the older PlayStation 4. So you won't be missing out on a lot.
For now, the waiting game begins to see what PlayStation game Morrison was teasing but wasn't allowed to talk about. Safe to say, his "banger" description is fueling the hype.
