Lots of exciting news for Poke-fans this week! Pokémon data miners have discovered new content for the Pokémon Go's 0.235.0 update, one of which is the new Mega Legendary level for raids. They have also found updates about the upcoming Pokémon Sleep game. And to Sustainability Week, a new Pokémon appears on Pokémon Go.
Mega Latios and Latias May Appear Soon, According to Data Mine
Datamining group PokeMiners has recently reported that Mega Evolution would be getting an overhaul in an upcoming update, according to Dot Esports. Now they have further learned that along with this update, players will also get to see Mega Legendary Pokémon really soon on Pokémon Go. This will be the first time that Mega Legendary Pokémon will appear in the game.
It seems that Mega Latias and Mega Latios may make their appearances soon, according to assets that were discovered in the newest backend updates. It is very possible that more Mega Legendary Pokémon may also be released in the next updates.
Aside from the Mega Evolution rework, other assets found in the data mine include a new tutorial background and new images that show the new cooldown mechanism for Mega Evolution.
Another exciting discovery from the datamine includes new details about Pokémon Sleep, which fans speculate that the game might finally be coming soon. Pokémon Sleep was originally announced in May 2019. It was envisioned as a game that would turn "sleeping into entertainment."
The game would track the player's amount of sleep using the Pokémon Go Plus accessory. It was set to be released in 2020. However, no details have been released since. With this new datamine, it seems that the game will push through, after all.
