The other day, we got to hear from Watch Dogs creative developer Jonathan Morin via Twitter about the lack of a Watch Dogs demo. Well, today we got to hear some new tidbits via a Twitter Q&A with Watch Dogs animation director Colin Graham.
First off, there will be a time limit on online "contract" missions, where you must tail another player online and provide surveillance on them. That's interesting, and should make for a good distraction in between story missions (or once you've completed the main story).
Aiden Pearce also apparently doesn't like paying for music. Graham revealed that you will hack people's music away using the "song sneak" app on Aiden's phone rather than a focus on radio DJs like Grand Theft Auto. Tsk, tsk Aiden.
Graham also revealed that the lake pictured next to the kid flying the quad copter in the "Welcome to Chicago" trailer is actually gigantic, so that's nifty. Probably Lake Michigan, if geography serves me correctly.
He also seemed to suggest that a map comparison done by Open World Games on YouTube (posted below) comparing Watch Dogs' map to Grand Theft Auto V's Los Santos was accurate, or at least a close enough comparison to the real thing. The comparison shows Watch Dogs' Chicago as more or less about half the size of LS in GTA.
The Watch Dogs team has been ultra receptive to questions and has given some great answers about the game lately. How excited have all these new revelations gotten you for this new digital vigilante thriller?
