A new Elden Ring mod promises to make respawns go faster, as well as reduce the game's load times even more (even if you're already running it from an SSD).
WCCFTech that the Faster Respawn mod basically does what its name says: it makes you respawn faster by taking away the elapsed time which follows the "You Died" screen. But due to how the mod is built, you can only use it if you disable your game's Easy Anti-Cheat or if you play offline.
The mod is now hosted on NexusMods if you want to check it out. But apparently, reducing respawn times is not the only thing this mod does. According to NexusMods user CallMeHidden, it also makes load times a bit shorter whenever you fast travel. This can be quite problematic in Elden Ring, considering how massive The Lands Between can be.
Lastly, the mod has also been shown to reduce its time to load up a save file from the main menu. All in all, almost all loading times across Elden Ring have been decreased.
How To Install The Mod
As per the mod's official page on Nexus here's how to install the mod if you want to use it. But before you do, always make sure to back up both your save and your game's original regulation.bin file, which can be found in the Elden Ring "Game" folder. The path goes C:\...\ELDEN RING\Game\.
Once you've backed up all of the important files, time to install the mod itself.
-
Put the edited regulation.bin in the folder where the original one is (refer to the file path shared above).
-
Disable your game's Easy Anti-Cheat. Here's a quick YouTube video from YouTube channel Green Blossom showing you how to do it:
-
Launch the game.
To uninstall the mod, just delete the edited regulation.bin you put into the folder and replace it with the original one you made a backup of earlier.

Best Elden Ring Mods To Try
Among the greatest things FromSoftware does with its Soulsborne games is allowing mods for them. Elden Ring is no exception, with the game's modding scene already becoming a major one. And the most popular mods for the game also show a shift in the public's perception of FromSoftware's games, which have historically been quite tough to beat.
According to GamesRadar, the best Elden Ring mods seem to be focusing on making the game easier to handle, especially for those who aren't familiar with Soulsborne games in the first place. Among these include an unofficial 'Easy Mode,' the Grand Merchant mod, which gives players access to a lot of important items, and even something as simple as a Pause mod as a way of respite from the dangers of The Lands Between.
These mods, alongside others, are readily available to players on Nexus, but obviously, they're only for PC. Have you tried modding Elden Ring on your PC yet?
