'Babylon's Fall' Reviews

Now here is the all-important question many gamers are probably asking: Is the game a hit or a miss for the critics?

Here are some of the reviews for "Babylon's Fall" that you can find online:

Destructoid's Review

Destructoid rates "Babylon's Fall" a five out of ten. The publication has its own review guide, which can best explain how they rate every game review. The rating of five, in particular, comes with the label "Mediocre."

The review noted the improvements made on the visuals of the game since it was first revealed, but it still described as rough.

"Gameplay is the saving grace that made this assignment worth doing, which is no surprise from Platinum," the Destructoid review says. It even describes the in-game fighting as "a ton of fun."

Tom's Guide Review

Tom's Guide has given the new Square Enix game two out of the possible five stars.

According to the view, positives of the game include its item acquisition mechanics as well as how it is "technically playable." However, the review also lists the game's dated graphics along with its gameplay as just some of the negatives it has.

Video Games Chronicle Review

Video Games Chronicle (VGC) has given the new game a one star rating out of the possible five stars it can give.

VGC's review of the game, in a nutshell, is as follows:

"Not only does it fail at the most basic elements, such as a visual style that's incredibly unappealing, or a mission structure that is somehow both dreadfully short and tedious, but the game also tries desperately to establish itself as a live game, filling your screen with as many opportunities to micro-transact as it can, despite the fact it actually costs $60 to purchase."

On a more positive note, VGC has described the game's combat as "enjoyable at short bursts."
