"Elden Ring" players have been enjoying the thrill of seeking weapons and combatting huge bosses in the game. Some of the best armaments are sought in the hardest locations, which pose many threats to the player.
One of the most known weapons dubbed Uchigatana has been existing in previous "Souls" games. FromSoftware decided to add this once again in this new open-world RPG.
If you're into slashing weapons and want to obtain this katana, here's a guide you might want to follow.
What is Uchigatana Katana?
According to Cultured Vultures, this powerful weapon first appeared in "Demon's Souls." Although there are far-more dominant weapons compared to this, this has become a staple for "Souls" lovers in the long run.
When upgraded properly, this weapon can deal a lot of bleed damage to the opponent. If you want to maximize its usage, you need to focus on leveling up your Dexterity to boost your primary damage stat.
Despite its strong physical damage, it has a "fairly low durability in "Dark Souls," according to the Darksouls Fandom.
For a short round trip to history, the uchigatana was a famous sword used by samurais in Japan in the early days. It's best suited for close-combat fighters since it only has short blades measuring around 23 to 28 cm.

How to Find Uchigatana in 'Elden Ring'
According to a game guide from Game Rant, you will first need to go to the first area in "Elden Ring'' located on Limgrave's northern side. From this opening, begin searching for Deathtouched Catacombs, a dungeon that you will see to the west of Saintsbridge.
This particular location is an optional dungeon that you can explore. Getting Uchigatana in "Elden Ring" will not require you anymore to defeat a boss, so it's a plus for those who want to avoid combat.
Upon entering the dimly-lit catacomb area, you will encounter a wall that will mark that you need to turn left for the next step. Through this point, walk in a small staircase and go down there.
When you're already at the bottom, turn right and move forward until you see an empty room with nothing but an old statue. Here, you can see a lever that you can interact with. This will be the key for you to gain access to where the Uchigatana is located.
Once you're done interacting with the lever, retrace your steps. Look for the first set of stairs, and from here, turn left.
Search for a small pass and traverse through a narrow corridor located on the left. There's another one on the left again. In this area, you will find a hanging corpse. You can obtain the Uchigatana weapon from this dead body.
Now, you can try honing and using this powerful Katana.
