The Pokemon Company announced that they would launch the limited beta launch of Pokemon TCG Live for Android, iOS, and PCs on Feb. 22.
This is to test the online card game before it launches around the world. However, the beta launch will only be available for Canadian participants only.
During the beta launch of the game, according to 9to5Mac.com, the participant will have access to the available cards from the Sword & Shield - Brilliant Stars Expansion Set before its global release on the Pokemon Trading Card Game on Feb. 25.

This means that those who are playing Pokemon TCG Live on their Smartphones will battle against those who are playing the game on their PCs and vice versa.
They will also have the option of playing Pokemon TCG Live during the beta launch without losing access to their Pokemon TCG Online app account.
According to Comicbook, participants can either download Pokemon TCG Live from Google Play and Apple App Store or the Canadian Pokemon Trading Card webpage.
Announced last September of 2021, Pokemon TCG Live is a revamped version of Pokemon TCG Online that brings the veterans and newcomers in playing the online card game with an updated digital format while retaining the gameplay from its physical tabletop version.
The game will allow the newcomers to learn the card game and its mechanics as they progress slowly and the veterans to discover new challenges to improve and test their deck-building skills.
Like Pokemon TCG Online, Pokemon TCG Live will bring existing Expansion Sets available in the Pokemon Trading Card Game, including the recent Sword & Shield Expansion Sets.
They will also have access to the cards from other Expansion Sets available such as Sun & Moon, XY, and Black & White.
Players who have existing Pokemon TCG Online accounts can transfer their in-game data to Pokemon TCG Live, including the cards that they obtained. However, they will not be playable until future game updates.
There will also be limits in transferring cards from Pokemon TCG Online to Pokemon TCG Live, including how many copies of basic Energy cards they can transfer.
The cards that will be transferred beyond the required limits will be converted into the in-game currency that they can use to buy new cards and accessories.
Pokemon TCG Live also has daily quests for players regardless of their skill level, Ranked Ladder Multiplayer mode, seasonal Battle Passes full of cards and items they need to unlock, and 3D player avatars.
However, the game will not have a card trading function and the in-game chat function, both present in Pokemon TCG Online.
The Pokemon Company said in the press release that they would release the Pokemon TCG Live in the future, while they added that the game would be free-to-play with no in-app purchases and receive ongoing content during updates post-launch.
