Engravings are one of the important upgrades that players need to have in Lost Ark.
These upgrades can either boost their character's stats such as their Health, Attack Damage, and Movement Speed or add a special property such as recovery, increasing their carry limit, or providing buffs.
The Engravings that are available in the game have different forms. According to WePC, there are the generic Combat Engravings that can be used in any Job Class in Lost Arc and the Class Engravings that are exclusive to one Job Class.
There are also Negative Engravings that, according to Future Game Releases, can decrease a character's stat.

How to Unlock Engravings
To get the Engravings, according to Gamertweak, players need to clear first the following main story quests after their character reaches Level 27 - "To the Glorious Wall" and "A Kingdom Reclaimed."
Once they have cleared these quests, they will press the Alt + I shortcut keys to bring up the pop-up menu for the Engravings. From there, they will see most of them locked.
To unlock them, they need to obtain at least 20 Recipe Books from satchels that will be rewarded to them after accomplishing various in-game activities.
They can also buy the Recipe Books from Merchants or get them from chests and loots inside Chaos Dungeons, Guardian Raids, and the Tower of Shadow. Once they get the books, they will read them to unlock an Engraving.
They can also obtain Engravings after buying any accessories such as earrings, necklaces, and rings.
How to Use the Engravings
Once they unlock an Engraving, according to Gamepur, they will open the Equipment menu.
They will notice some slots open on the right side of their character from there. These slots are where they will insert the Engravings.
They will also notice that blue diamond-like crystals are called "nodes." This will indicate what Level the Engraving is.
If it has 5 nodes, the Engraving's effects are in Level 1. If it has 10 nodes, its effects are in Level 2. If it has 15 nodes, its effects are in Level 3.
To increase the nodes, they either facet the Ability Stones by leveling them up or equip a certain gear that can give a random Engraving effect.
The number of nodes will also determine the rarity of an Engraving. If it has 6 nodes, it is a Rare Engraving. If it has 8 nodes, it is an Epic Engraving. If it has 9 nodes, it is a Legendary Engraving.
Best Engravings to Use
Once they know how to get the Engravings in Lost Ark, players need to know the best ones for their characters.
If they want to increase their Skills' damage, speed, and maximum use while decreasing their cooldown, they can use the All-Out Attack and Awakening Engravings.
If they want to deal damage of specific conditions such as while shielded, while the enemies are staggered, and their Health is below 30%, they can consider the Barricade, Disrespect, and Broken Bone Engravings.
For buffs, they can use the Cursed Doll, Divine Protection, and Drops of Ether Engravings, while for stat bonuses, they can use the Spirit Absorption, Super Charge, and Increase Mass Engravings.
