'Minecraft Bedrock Edition' Patch 1.18.10 Update Brings in Frogs, Changes, Additions, and Fixes

Mojang Studios released the patch notes for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition's Patch 1.18.10 Update that adds in frogs and tadpoles in the game.

The patch update also brought in changes to several of the open-world sandbox simulation game's elements while it fixed some of its bugs and issues.

Enter the Frogs

The major addition that the Patch 1.18.10 Update brought in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition is the frogs and toads.

According to the patch notes posted on Minecraft's website, these are added in the game's Experimental Features that they can use.

However, if players want to use the feature, they need to make backup copies of their game files as it might cause the game to crash, break, or not work with future updates. They cannot also turn off this add-on after using it during world creation.

If they are added to the game, the frogs will be spawned in Swamp biomes and can croak, jump, swim, and walk on land.

They can drop a Slime Ball after eating tiny Slimes and can be caught and bred using Seagrass.

These frogs can lay eggs on the water after mating to hatch into Tadpoles.

These tadpoles can swim in the water, jump around like fishes when on land, and grow into different frogs based on the biome they are born in. Players can catch these tadpoles using a bucket.

Aside from the frogs and tadpoles, according to Comicbook, the patch update also added the new Pearlescent, Verdant, and Ochre Froglight blocks.

These light-emitting blocks can be obtained after a lured frog ate a Magma Cube. After eating it, it will drop a Froglight block. Each frog variant will drop a different Froglight.

Changes, Fixes

The Patch 1.18.10 Update also brought other additions and changes to Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.

According to Update Crazy, it tweaked the game's World settings so players can change them directly on Realms, just like the local worlds. It also added a Globe Banner pattern that players could use.

The patch update also made the villagers make a "No" sound when they attempt to trade for an item or items out of stock, while it removed the emerald icon above their heads when trading.

It also tweaked the Iron Golems to attack any player that has a bad standing in a village after attacking a Villager, the boats to make them not disappear after they got out of them after a long ride, and the Pillager Outposts to spawn the correct number of Pillagers and Iron Golems.

The patch update also adjusted the "Otherside" and the "Pigstep" music discs to give off a redstone signal to match those from the Java Edition.

It also updated the texture for multiple blocks in the game, such as Lodestone CompassGlow Berry VinesWitherCampfireSoul CampfireItem Frames, and several blocks for the doors and the signs.

Patch 1.18.10 Update also fixed several bugs and issues in the game, including one that causes the entities in a chunk to not save when exiting a world.

It also fixed another issue where breaking blocks, opening chests, and entering portals would be delayed or not work with mobs nearby.

It also fixed the issues that cause the game to crash when players trade Maps with Cartographer Villagers and when they shift-click an Armor in the Crafting Table while using the Pocket UI.

It also fixed a bug that caused the Ender Dragon to become invisible when flying towards the portal fountain after dying.
