In Dying Light 2 Stay Human, players need to survive a post-apocalyptic world by defeating the horde of the Undead scattered around The City and/or other humans such as bandits who want them dead.

To do this, they need weapons that can cater to their different playstyles, such as knives and axes for those who want to eliminate their enemies up close and guns for those who prefer killing them in the distance.

How to Craft, Modify Weapons

There are ways to craft and modify weapons in Dying Light 2 Stay Human. But before doing these three, they need to understand the weapons types available in the game.

Melee weapons can either be one-handed like knives and machetes or two-handed like swords, axes, hammers, and bats.

If a player equips a one-handed melee weapon, they can easily swing it faster while consuming less stamina. On the other hand, if they equip a two-handed melee weapon, they can deal heavy damage at the cost of more stamina.

They can also be classified into two types - blunt or sharp. Blunt weapons can break the bones of their enemies with massive force, while sharp weapons can cut their limbs off fast.

Players can also wield ranged weapons such as bows, pistols, shotguns, and machine guns. Aside from giving themselves a distance advantage, they can deal greater damage while wielding them.

Both the melee and ranged weapons can be found in containers, GRE military trailers, and corpses. They can also buy them in shops or get them as rewards after clearing story missions.

Once they get a weapon, they will notice empty available sockets to insert the mods to modify it. The Tip and Shaft Sockets add special offensive effects such as shock or blast, while the Grip Socket adds durability to the weapon.

After getting a weapon, they need to create the mods. According to Gamespot, they can get these items from the Craftmaster, who can also upgrade their weapons as long as they bring in the right materials, including Infected Trophies that they can loot from special zombies.

They can also craft the mods on their own as long as they have the materials and blueprints. These Blueprints can be obtained through the main story missions and side quests from the Craftmasters.

Once the items are obtained, they can modify their weapons depending on how they use them in the game. While modifying them, they should also consider strengthening their durability as they deteriorate every time they hit something.

One way to reinforce their durability, according to WePC, is to apply the Reinforcement mods. These items can significantly decrease their reduction when swinging at enemies using the weapon.

Players need to keep in mind that only melee weapons have durability, not ranged weapons. This means that their firearms cannot be broken if they were used for too long.
