In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, not only that players need to encounter and catch wild Pokemon that are scattered around the region of Hisui, but they also need to accomplish several missions and side quests, or Requests, for them in order to progress in the game.
In the said Requests that the game will give to them, they will need to do tasks such as catching Pokemon, collecting items, or investigating a location in the region. Once accomplished, they will be rewarded with in-game items such as Rare Candies, Pokeballs, Exp. Candies, and Berries.
Where to Catch Chimchar
In a Request entitled "The Mysterious Will-o'-the-Wisp," according to IGN, players need to catch mysterious red will-o'-the-wisp that appears on the Windswept Run during the night.
In order to get the said Request, according to Gamepur, they need to talk to a non-playable character named Paira, which they can find in front of a large house in Jubilife Village. After approaching her, according to Samurai Gamers, she will talk to them about the will-o'-the-wisp that she saw on Windswept Run.

After listening to her story, head towards the area during the nighttime. As per Game8.co, this area is located at the southwestern part of the Obsidian Fieldlands, just a few walks away from Deertrack Heights. The said area will be marked on the game's map to find it quickly.
Once they are in the Windswept Run, they will need to find a large tree. From there, they will notice a flame flickering on top of the said tree. They will interact with it until they trigger a cutscene, where they will examine the tree closer until they discover that the mysterious will-o'-the-wisp is actually Chimchar's tail.
The Pokemon will eventually go down and later try to attack them. From there, they will need to battle Chimchar, but instead of defeating it, they will need to capture it for Paira and for the Request. Once the Chimchar becomes weak, they will capture it with a Pokeball. Then they will return to the Jubilife Village to show it to the NPC.
After interacting with her, they will show it to Paira, and once she realizes that the Pokemon is the one she saw at night, she will reward them with two Exp. Candies (S).
Where to Get the Springy Mushroom
In another Request called "Mushroom Cake Marketing," they will need to find a Springy Mushroom and deliver it to another NPC named Morel. In order to start the said Request, according to Gamespot, they will need to head towards the Fieldlands Camp, which is at the northern part of the Obsidian Fieldlands.
From there, they will need to find the NPC and talk to him regarding the Request. Afterward, according to Gamerant, they will need to travel back to the Jubilife Village to find another NPC named Anvin, which owns the Craftworks Shop. The said shop is located right beside Beni's Wallflower Restaurant, which is at the Floaro Main Street.
They will need to talk to the said owner to look for the items he is selling. From there, they will find the Springy Mushroom, which will cost them 200 Pokedollars. They will need to buy one for the said Request.
Once they have bought the said item, they will travel back to the Fieldland Camp to talk to Morel once again. From there, they will give the item to the NPC, and then he will give them a piece of Mushroom Cake, which they can use to bait wild Pokemon.
