In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players cannot just hop from one island to another in order to visit their in-game friends and other players, but they can also be visited by other Villagers, who are non-playable characters (NPCs) who often visit and stay for a period of time.
One of them is K.K. Slider, a wondering musician who can serenade anyone with his music. But in order to listen him sing, they need to make him come first to their island after completing a series of tasks.
Bringing K.K. Slider in the Island
As mentioned earlier, in order to bring K.K. Slider into their Island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, they need to accomplish a series of task called "Project K," which will be given to them by Tom Nook.
According to iMore, they will begin first by upgrading their Resident Services building through upgrading their tents to a house and inviting a total of six new Villagers, while building the Nook's Cranny and a bridge.
After completing said tasks, they will enter the said upgraded building to meet with Tom, where he will tell them the things that they need to do in order to make "Project K" successful. These include picking the best location for a campsite.
Once they have selected the location that they have wanted, they will need to wait for the next for it to be usable and have someone to show up.
Then, they will need to invite more Villagers to live in their island. There are places for them to visit in order to talk to several NPCs in the area such as the Campsite and in other islands that they can invite by using their Nook Miles Tickets, which they can purchase at the NookStop.
Once they have invited enough Villagers to stay in their island, they will need to build more houses in order to accommodate them. To do this, they must talk again to Tom Nook, where he will sell them more land for them to use for the housing project.
The said land, along with a house-building kit, will cost them 10,000 Bells, but they will be compensated with Nook Miles once a Villager moves in.
After building houses for at least 10 Villagers, they will need to wait for the ratings that they will be given to them during the Island Evaluation.
To check said ratings, they must talk to Isabelle, where she will point out what needs to be improved in order to increase them, such as number of houses and placing several decorations. They will also need to maintain the island clear of weeds, while planting trees and flowers.
They will continue to do this until Tom and Isabelle receive one of the said evaluations with a note that is signed by "K.S."
This means that they had feedback from K.K. Slider himself. This will trigger a short cutscene where Tom will call in the NPC, asking him to come to the island to perform.
Seeing K.K. Slider Perform
Once Toom Nook invited K.K. Slider to invite in their island, according to CNet, the said NPC will can now hold a concert there every Saturday between 6:00 PM and midnight. From there, he will ask them if they would like to hear a song.
From there, he will give them three options. According to Eurogamer, if they choose the "I'll leave it up to you," he will sing a song at random, while choosing the "I'm in a mood" option where he will sing a song that will depend on how they are feeling.
In total, there are 107 songs that they can listen from K.K. Slider. 95 of which are already installed in the game, while the remaining 12 were included after Animal Crossing: New Horizon received its Version 2.0 Update. After listening to one of these songs, he will give them a copy of it for them to take home.
They can also be bought randomly in the Resident Services building's Nook Stop, which can be delivered via mail on the following day. Once they got the K.K. Slider songs, they can now play it in their in-game music systems such as a tape deck or a high-end stereo.
On the other hand, there are four songs among the 95 pre-installed ones that they need to request from K.K. Slider after choosing the "Gimme that one song" option. According to IGN, three of them, "Drivin'," "Animal City," and "Farewell," can be requested to the NPC directly by typing their titles out correctly.
Another one of the secret K.K. Slider songs, "Welcome Horizons," can be unlocked once they invited him to their island for the first time.
