As gamers awaited more information on Borderlands 3, virtual reality HMD owners were treated to the surprise news that Borderlands 2 would be coming to VR. The game's debut was limited to PlayStation VR but there's good news on the horizon. Borderlands 2 VR has been rated by the Entertainment Software Rating Board and a PC release date announcement should be coming sometime in the near future.
Twitter user Wario64 caught the ESRB rating, which specifies a version of the game for Windows PC. This confirms that the limited PlayStation VR exclusivity is coming to a close sometime soon and Gearbox Software is getting the ball rolling on a version that is likely going to release via SteamVR. In a best-case scenario, this means that Oculus Rift, Rift S, HTC Vive and Valve Index owners will able to play Borderlands 2 VR before the year closes.
