With all the other Killer Instinct originals getting their old school duds, Spinal too is following suit. But while the other combatants get new outfits, Spinal's retro "costume" is little more than a bony birthday suit.
Double Helix forum member Bennijin somehow stumbled onto the undead pirate's new ensemble via a glitch, and shared the method with anyone else who wanted to duplicate his results:
"You need the Ultra Edition and a local Spinal trial available. Go into Local Versus, highlight a classic skin and back out. Now select the trial from the main menu and et voila, you should have Classic Spinal selected.Something like this is likely what caused Classic Thunder to show up a few times before his official release."
Before you ask, yes, he "already tried it with Sadira, it doesn't work."
If you don't happen to have Spinal, or the Ultra Edition of Killer Instinct, you can watch the video below to see the stark skeleton au naturel.
Interestingly, Microsoft Creative Director teased a look at Sadira's new costume via Twitter last week, but was mum about anything involving Spinal. Meaning, despite this "leak," we'll likely see Sadira's new duds before we see Spinal's lack thereof. On Spinal's "costume," Isgreen also tweeted, "Just wait until you see his classic accessories..."
Provided everything's still on schedule, Fulgore is expected to arrive by this time next week, if not sooner.
