‘Project CARS 2’ Update: PS4 Pro, Project Scorpio Confirmed! PSVR Coming Soon, No Release Date Yet

"Project CARS 2" developers are set to offer improvements adding support for the PS4 Pro and the Microsoft Project Scorpio. Slightly Mad Studios is also said to be working to make the game compatible with the PlayStation VR. In addition, it has been revealed that the "Project CARS 2" developers have a long-term plan for future post-release content.

No Confirmation of PSVR Release Yet

The "Project CARS 2" Creative Director Andy Tudor confirmed that their team is looking to add improvements to the most recent consoles, PS4 Pro and Xbox Scorpio that put emphasis on visuals. Tudor is yet to confirm when PSVR support will come for the game but the team is said to be hard at work on it. Tudor noted that there is a lot of work needed to get "Project CARS 2" running on the PSVR because of the two screens needed and the frame rate required for an overall improved experience.

"Project CARS 2" currently allows a large number of competitors on the screen at the same time including all weather features and Live Track stuff for great gameplay. Tudor noted that there is a fine balance between what is visually acceptable and what is detrimental to gameplay, WCCF Tech reported. Apparently, Slightly Mad Studios opt not to compromise either in visuals or gameplay.

Long-Term Plan For Future "Project CARS 2" Add-Ons

In other news, "Project CARS 2" has received critical acclaim due to its wealth of content including a plethora of tracks and numerous racing disciplines. It should be noted that the original game saw the release of several free cars and tracks supported by the Oculus Rift. Tudor explained that the team was happy with how the DLC content for the original game was being received.

The "Project CARS 2" marketing machine has been firing on all cylinders lately. In addition, four Skylines and Evolutions are headed to the game, TeamVVV reported. Moreover, teasers of the Long Beach track have also been revealed online. Slightly Mad Studios have noted that a long-term plan is being aimed for with future content.
