The Twitch Plays Pokemon phenomenon continues! After Pokemon Red was beaten at the start of this month they switched to Pokemon Crystal, and beat that as well last week. There seems to be no stopping this channel - they've changed a few things around and added a few rules to make things more fair/less annoying (such as blocking automated chat entries and ASCII artwork- oh, internet) but still, there are thousands of players playing games of Pokemon at the same time, and somehow managing to beat them.
Of course, after the insane attention that the first game attracted it was inevitable that Pokemon Crystal would get less viewers- the charm of the project was gone, and there was no way they were going to repeat their success of 90,000 people playing the game all at once. You can expect even less from Pokemon Crystal, which has been getting well under 10k viewers so far. While it seems like they're going to continue to play through a majority of the series in order, perhaps it's time to switch to a new game, or just drop it entirely. After all, they've already proven that it's possible. But then again, maybe people just enjoy watching a stream of insanity flow past their screen.
Check the feed of it below to watch them go into and out of menus and name Pokemon silly names, and head on over to the official site to play it yourself.
