Although Nintendo Mini NES is just a replica of the classic one, in the past few weeks, its sales have boomed. There is a chance it may hurt Nintendo Switch sales. 

In a previous report, stores like Walmart, Tesco and Argos offered stocks for Mini NES. However, the classic consoles have been easily sold out. The last chance of getting the classic-themed console was on Nov. 18.

Why players are dying to get Nintendo Mini NES?

Some said the Mini NES brings nostalgia among people. Aside from that, the classic-themed console could be a perfect holiday gift as it costs $60 and everyone in the family may enjoy picking available games, according to Forbes.

Despite the flaw which the controller is too small, some gamers find a way to enjoy it. In a recent report, a gamer got a giant controller, which can be useful while playing the original NES cartridges,  "Duck Hunt" and "Legend of Zelda."

For those who are interested to get giant controller, it is available at eBay, which has been racked up bids for more than $500.

Due to high demand of Nintendo Mini NES and despite there's a shortage, there is a big chance that it will reign the holiday sales. However, NES Classic Edition may also bring trouble to Nintendo Switch, according to Forbes. On the bright side, the Japanese company has become one of the hottest brands in the holiday season due to high demand of Mini NES.

Meanwhile, last Black Friday, Nov. 25, the GameStop stores opened Black Friday 2016 sale, then the stores closed on Thanksgiving. Black Friday sale was only available online at gamestop.com. It offered  $249.99 Sony PS4 Slim 500 GB Uncharted 4 Bundle with a free game.

GameStop did not release the $99.99 New Nintendo 3DS until Nov. 25. The store suffered Mini NES outages at around 6am EST because video game shoppers tried to purchase the New Nintendo 3DS Black Friday deal, according to i4u News.
