"Injustice 2" has gone from all secretive to several updates per minute in just one week. Just a few days after the announcement trailer, the gameplay trailer has been released right before the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016!
What is in the "Injustice 2" gameplay trailer? There is plenty of action teasing Batman going up against Superman (via Kotaku). No surprise here, but the trailer also confirms the introduction of Supergirl. The new faces include Gorilla Grodd (!) and Aquaman nemesis Black Manta.
Wait, was that Dex-Starr hanging out with Atrocitus?!
The "Injustice 2" gameplay trailer opens with an interaction between Atrocitus and Supergirl before the video launches into action. The teaser also features Batman attacking Superman with his Batplane before the Man of Steel decides that wasn't a cool move, dude.
There are several intense scenes in the "Injustice 2" gameplay trailer, although fans seem to be partial towards Aquaman's massive friend helping him out with a foe.
The "Injustice 2" gameplay trailer also offers a glimpse at the costume upgrades. Hopefully, players will be able to get new costumes as the game progresses because Gorilla Grodd's second costume looks sick.
One of the interesting parts of the "Injustice 2" gameplay trailer is the unexpected appearance of Dex-Starr. The former house cat might look cute, but he is also one of the most dangerous members of the Red Lantern Corps. (It's not just the claws or hairballs, too).
Hopefully, Dex-Starr will be more than just a floating cat on Atrocitus' shoulder in "Injustice 2."
It's not surprising that "Injustice 2" appears to have chosen to add exciting new characters into the game. Director Ed Boon has admitted that they looked into social media to find out who the fans want to see in the roster (via Gamespot).
There will be more updates on "Injustice 2" at E3 this week.
