'Batman: The Killing Joke' Confirmed For One-Night Theatrical Release
We Got This Covered shared the good news about "Batman: The Killing Joke." The site reports that Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will collaborate with Fathom Events to bring the animated flick to the big screen. "Batman: The Killing Joke" will be shown in selected theaters on July 25 with only two screenings. The first screening is 7:30PM followed by another screening at 10:00PM. The list of selected theaters has not yet been announced.

The limited theatrical release on "Batman: The Killing Joke" will include an introduction from Mark Hamill, who returns to provide the Joker's voice. The documentary will show how the "Star Wars Episode 8" actor has cast in the role. In addition to that, the introduction will feature never-before-seen footage of Hamill and Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy during the making of the film.
"Batman: The Killing Joke" is the highly anticipated adaptation of Alan Moore's controversial graphic novel. The one-shot comic book details the Joker's origin story and his brutal attack on Barbara Gordon AKA Batgirl. The animated film is set to premiere during the San Diego Comic Con in July (via ScreenRant). "Batman: The Killing Joke" will be available in DVD and Blu-Ray on July 23 while tickets for the limited theatrical release will be available by June 17.
