If you haven't heard, Queen Elizabeth II is being celebrated for her 60-year reign, which is the second-longest for a British monarch. The Commonwealth realms are not the only ones celebrating the queen's Diamond Jubilee, but so is The Sims 3.
"The Sims" franchise has topped the charts in the computer gaming world. Sims 3, specifically, sold 1.4 million copies in its first week and eventually sold over ten million copies worldwide since its 2009 release, making it one of the best-selling computer games of all time.
The video below is entitled, "Queen's Jubilee Parody" and features celebrators and a Sim of the Queen herself.
The senior product manager for The Sims 3, Bolu Akindoyin, made a statement saying, "The sense of humor that players invest within their own games is becoming more and more prolific so it was a natural fit to highlight The Sims 3 brand through comedy; an arena with broad appeal that we are hoping will attract new players to the franchise."
