Just when you thought crossovers were only a thing for movie franchises, a Youtube creator brings Indiana Jones, a famous character portrayed by Harrison Ford, to explore The Lands Between, a fantasy world in the trending video game Elden Ring.
In the video, Youtube creator eli_handle_b.wav hilariously pastes Indiana Jones behind several notable Elden Ring landscapes that make the character interact with some of the video game's entities.
In one part, we see the famed archeologist dash away from a chasing Tree Sentinel, and then he goes horseback riding along a massive Walking Mausoleum stomping in the background. Elden Ring made its international debut in February this year and is already on its way to becoming one of the most critically-acclaimed video games of all time. With its many featured gameplay elements like fighting, horseback riding, spells, summoning, and item crafting, it attracted the attention of many gamers and even the likes of famous Youtube creators like PewDiePie and Jacksepticeye, who uploaded their playthroughs of the game to add to its hype.
Many gamers claim that Elden Ring is not your ordinary action role-playing game. With frequent ambushes from brawny enemies and OP bosses that could literally one-hit you, Elden Ring is a video game that is not for the faint of heart. While there are some gamers like 'Let Me Solo Her' who are legendary boss fighters, this is a chance for every gamer to up their combat game and be the Elden Lord.
Aside from the exciting gameplay, Elden Ring boasts its unique storyline crafted by Hidetaka Miyazaki and Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin who laid the materials for the Elden Ring setting.
According to Polygon, Elden Ring has succeeded as a popular video game as it hit 12 million sold copies last March. Launched globally last February, the video game's success made its fans root for a sequel that is already in the works, according to an insider.
It is exciting to witness how a gaming community can reach a certain extent of creativity to appreciate their favorite video games. As content like this stirs conversation, it helps to build fan bases and gaming communities.
While we are all waiting for the sequel, we can all celebrate fan arts and spoofs, and along with Indiana Jones, we can all dive into more adventures and escapades for "fortune and glory."
