LOOK: Elden Ring Streamer Beats The Game Without Leveling Up And Getting Hit

Elden Ring Player Completes A No-Hit, No Leveling Run In 2 1/2 Hours

Look, at this point, any Elden Ring playthrough to completion is already an amazing feat. Not a lot of people come out of FromSoftware's new game victorious, but perhaps this guy upped the ante even more.

As reported by GamesRadar, a certain Elden Ring streamer recently managed to beat the game without ever getting hit, and also without EVER leveling up. This playthrough was also done as some sort of speedrun that's not focusing purely on speed, as you can see. The run was performed by streamer Ainrun, who posted on Twitter that this is the first-ever "hitless run of Elden Ring" without glitches.

Here's the video:

Ainrun managed to complete the run in only two-and-a-half hours, and this is after his earlier failed run that actually saw him getting hit during the final moments of the last boss fight. Nevertheless, his Elden Ring feat basically stands on its own among other people's speedruns, where most of them use glitches, level up their characters, and don't mind taking damage.

But Ainrun's no-hit playthrough of the eponymous FromSoftware title still has another trick up its sleeve, writes Kotaku. That's because this one includes the game's first-ever boss, the Grafted Scion. He says that skipping the fight feels like "it's breaking a sequence" that the developers intended for players to progress through the game.

I was [also] motivated by the fact that a majority of other players choose to skip this boss. In my opinion, a 'challenge' run like what I've dne is supposed to be challenging, [so] using shortcuts doesn't really make sense.

Ainrun's latest Elden Ring run is just one of his several feats in FromSoftware's soulsborne series of games. He has said that he's been doing no-hit runs of these games since 2020, starting with the first Dark Souls. So you can say that this guy has had A TON of practice before attempting the no-hit Elden Ring run.

Elden Ring is now out for all major platforms worldwide.

The Incredibly Tough Nature Of An Elden Ring No-Hit Run

As previously mentioned, Ainrun's incredible hitless run came after a previous one where he was hit at the very last moment during the final boss fight. That was perhaps one of the toughest things to swallow when doing a playthrough/speedrun like this, though he's far from the only one.

Another player who goes by the handle The Happy Hob found this the hard way. His own no-hit playthrough of the extremely popular FromSoftware title was doing just fine until the fight with the dreaded Elden Beast. He managed to deal damage to the boss quite easily during the earlier moments of the fight, but got hit at the very last few seconds while attempting to deal the final blow, writes Gaming Bible UK.

Here's the clip of the fateful moment:

You really have to be a special kind of insane to attempt a playthrough like this.
