‘Star Wars Rebels' Season 3 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Is Bendu Going to be a Sith Agent?

The "Star Wars Rebels" Season 3 is all hyped up to steer the season to new heights after it was recently unveiled at the Star Wars Celebration in London. The event paved way for the screening of the series' first two episodes and since then, speculations flew all over.

First, Bendu's character is now in question after he's considered neither a Sith or a Jedi. Although said to be the one responsible in securing some sort of connection between the Force and the Sith, viewers are likely to think, he will end up on the dark side and become a Sith.

Meanwhile, it was also a surprise when Timothy Zahn's Grand Admiral Thrawn was included on "Star Wars Rebels" Season 3. Although the Thrawn has been announced prior to the Star Wars Celebration in London, it's final confirmation still made waves of excitement to Star Wars fans.

The character of the Grand Admiral Thrawn will first appear on "Star Wars Rebels" Season 3 episode entitled "Steps into Shadow." The episode is expected to air in the fall of 2016.

In a previous report by The Verge, Thrawn is pictured as the villain that brings both fear and excitement to viewers, but according to showrunner Dave Filoni, the Grand Admiral Thrawn will probably be the most challenging character that they will put in the "Star Wars Rebels". In the panel during the Star Wars Celebration in London, Filoni said "We knew you wanted it and we wanted it too. Thrawn is back!"

Filoni is also quoted on twitter when he posted the phrase "There's always a bit of truth in legends." It mainly gave way to the possibility of Thrawn joining the "Star Wars Rebels" Season 3 and now, it has happened.
