Wolfenstein the New Order Trailers: New Gameplay Trailer Features Nazi Mechs on a Train [VIDEO]

id Software's Wolfenstein: The New Order Features Nazi Mechs

Nazi Mechs! Nazi Mechs patrolling trains! The world under Nazi rule is a terrifying place indeed, as you'll find out in id Software's upcoming Wolfenstein: The New Order.

This will be the first game in the series since id Software and Raven Software released Wolfenstein back in 2009, and it's good to see the granddaddy of first-person shooters back on its feet. The New Order is the first title from Swedish developer MachineGames (comprised of Riddick and Darkness developers) and will once again feature series protagonist William "BJ" Blazokwicz fighting Nazis, but this time it won't be set during WWII this time. In a series first, the game will take place during the 1960s in an alternate history where the Nazis have won World War II and taken over the globe.

Wolfenstein: the New Order Runs at 1080p, 60fps on Both Xbox One and PS4 [VIDEO]

BJ has resided in an asylum suffering from amnesia after a secret mission during the war went awry and only recovers 14 years later, only to join up a resistance movement that's trying to take down the current leaders of the world. He's very good at killing Nazis but they have some new tricks up their sleeves, as you're about to find out.

In the first video you'll see BJ Blazkowicz in deep cover on a train as a Nazi servant of some sort, serving coffee to one of the main villains of the game, Frau Engel. She's protected by a giant mech and takes time to talk to him and praise his Aryan features before administering a test. Things don't go well for BJ, of course...

This next video will show an interview with one of the game devs, who talks about what it was like to design a narrative around the game. He also mentions the above train scene, which he promises will be a stand-out during the game.

Wolfenstein: The New Order will be released on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on May 20 in North America and in Europe on May 23, by Bethesda Softworks. Don't forget that if you pre-order the game you get access to the upcoming DOOM beta as well!
