"Injustice 2" gets the hothead blazing Firestorm as the latest addition to the roster of characters. Previously, NetherRealm's Ed Boon had already teased the said character in December. It is expected that Firestorm will be a playable character upon launch on both the Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One consoles on May 16.
Latest "Injustice 2" Addition Is Good For Distances
A recent video from the WWE wrestler Xavier Woods on his YouTube channel UpUpDownDown announced the newest member of "Injustice 2." In the gameplay video, Firestorm is featured as a far-range character who boast the ability to fire projectiles to attack from a distance. His attack includes fireballs and torpedoes as well, Gamespot reported.
Firestorm is slated to join the other "Injustice 2" characters revealed in a trailer earlier this week. It should be noted that Green Arrow, Green Lantern and Captain Cold have been confirmed for the game. However, it is yet to be confirmed if the three characters will be playable. In addition, Doctor Fate, Cyborg, Swamp Thing, Badtman, Blue Beetle, Superman, Supergirl, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Aquaman, Cheetah, Robin, Brainiac, Bane, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Black Canary and Atrocitus have been confirmed for the game. Take note that the mobile game has also been confirmed to be in the works.
No Real World Cash For Getting Gear
Meanwhile, the community man Tyler Landsdown revealed that there is a surprising amount of variation in the way the "Injustice 2" characters are put together, Gamereactor reported. Moreover, the shader system is said to use color packs that change the color scheme of each character while retaining the look and feel of the character. Hence, gamers get to be creative without going against the spirit of the source material.
"Injustice 2" gamers should also note that gear need not be purchased with real money. Apparently, no earth cash may be used to unlock Motherboxes as they are acquired in-game. Take note that gear may be sold from Motherboxes for currency to buy more Motherboxes. Watch the Firestorm reveal below:
