Discounts for over 100 Xbox One games have been unveiled by Microsoft with a new service. The new service by Microsoft only costs $10 a month and is likened to the PS Now or a larger scale EA Access. More discounts await gamers with gaming headsets and PS4 cameras, among others.
Microsoft Launches Netflix-Like Service For Games
Gamers may now opt to get an Xbox Game Pass to get discounts on downloads from a catalog of loads of games. The idea has been likened to Netflix for games sans the uncertainties associated with the PlayStation Now. Note that the latter has extended to current generation games.
It has been revealed that the Xbox Game Pass subscribers may be entitled to a 20 percent discount on several Xbox One game purchases. In addition, subscribers may get discounts of up to 10 percent for add-on content, Season Passes and DLCs. Note that the game itself should be available in the Game Pass library, Gamingbolt reported.
It should be noted that the service is independent of the Xbox Live Gold. Hence, gamers who choose to play on the Xbox Game Pass games online and get discounts, may need a separate subscription. Moreover, there will be no limit to the number of games downloaded at a time. The games may also be played at the course of the subscription. Moreover, achievements and progress for Xbox Game Pass games will remain permanently attached to the gamer's account.
In other news, Amazon is offering discounts for several first-party Sony PS4 accessories including the PS4 camera for 34 percent off. Gamers may also choose the PlayStation Gold Wireless Stereo Headset with 32 percent discounts or the PlayStation Silver Wired Stereo Headset with 61 percent off, Game Idealist reported.
Discounts for controllers also include the Updated Jet Black DualShock 4 Wireless Controller with 25 percent off. On the other hand, the Update Magma Red DualShock 4 Wireless Controller rolls back with 30 percent off. Other notable discounts include 20 percent off on "Birthdays the Beginning" as well as the Limited Edition for those with Amazon Prime. Find out how the Xbox Game Pass works below:
