Google Drive Prices Slashed: Get a Terabyte of Cloud Storage for Just $9.99 Per Month, 100GBs for $2

Google is cutting the price of its Google Drive cloud storage service by pretty significant amounts, the technology giant announced yesterday. The price cuts will be spread across several different plans, offering you various options for cloud storage that are much cheaper than before. In certain storage plans, the price has dropped as much as $40, so now's the time to buy some up if you're in need.

Fifteen gigabytes remain free on Drive, but the price of monthly plans have all come down. You can now get a terabyte of storage for $9.99, down all the way from $49.99. 100GBs has dropped to $1.99 per month from $4.99, and a whopping 10TBs (if you should possibly need that much space) are available for $99.99

In addition to showing how much Google wants to push its cloud services, it also demonstrates how cheap storage has gotten. These amounts of space were unthinkable a few years ago, let alone for so (relatively) cheap. It's cloud storage, so not quite the same as getting your own external or internal hard drive, but even for physical storage terabytes or hundreds of gigabytes are pretty inexpensive compared to the past.

Google Drive works across their products and services such as Gmail, Docs, and Google+, allowing users to store their personal documents, music, photos, etc. in the cloud for access on multiple devices.

Customers who already subscribe to a plan for the service will automatically be moved to the new pricing plans.
