Game developer NetherRealm Studios announced last year that a mobile version of "Injustice 2" will be available aside from the console version. A gameplay video recently surfaced that featured Cyborg, Green Lantern and Scarecrow.
Many DC fans got excited upon the release of the mobile gameplay video due to the fact that it had confirmed the return of Cyborg and Green Lantern. Another surprise is the appearance of Scarecrow, which is not confirmed yet in the console version, WWG reports.
However, fans should hold still their horses and not get too excited. The latest video does not mean that the characters will also make it to the console version scheduled to arrive on May 16. Previously, during the first "Injustice" game, Darkseid, Static and several more characters were made available only to its mobile version.
Nevertheless, gamers will still have a choice of fighting when "Injustice 2" arrives. There will still be a single player mode in three-vs-three and the PvP mode that will let players from all over the world to fight in the arena.
Additionally, the release of the mobile gameplay video of "Injustice 2" signifies a soft launch in the Philippines, for the meantime. Although global fans are expecting to hear more news and update once the release date arrives closer.
In related news, Swamp Thing has been confirmed to join the roster of "Injustice 2" characters. The living elemental is ready to defend its natural habitat from the threats of man, Nerdist reported.
Additionally, the upcoming fighting game will have a standard, digital deluxe and an ultimate edition. Fans opting for the digital deluxe will get to have three DLC characters, while the highest option will add nine DLC characters, two gear-shader packs and three premium skins. It remains unclear if Green Lantern will be a playable character for the ultimate edition takers.
So far, the official "Injustice 2" website confirms that Black Canary, Robin, Braniac, Poison Ivy, Bane, Batman, Blue Beeetle, The Flash, Harley Quinn, Superman, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Deadshot, Gorilla Grodd, Aquaman and Atrocitus will all be playable characters.
