'Fire Emblem Heroes' Beats 'Clash Royale' On Day-1 Downloads; Heroes To Give Out Free Items

"Fire Emblem Heroes", the second mobile title from Nintendo, was launched recently, keeping the company's strong streak in the mobile market. Within 24 hours since launch, more than 2 million players have downloaded the game, reaching a total revenue of more than $2.9 million.

"Fire Emblem Heroes'" Launch Is Stronger Than "Clash Royale"

Although the launch of "Fire Emblem Heroes" is not as strong as those of "Super Mario Run" or "Pokemon Go", the success of the game is reported to be stronger compared to the day-one data of "Clash Royale," Polygon reported. Given that, reports indicate that "Fire Emblem Heroes" is taking the third spot, since "Clash Royale" was able to earn $1.4 million only on its launch day.

Meantime, "Fire Emblem Heroes" had 2 million downloads, which puts the game in the 17th spot, in terms of the number of downloads on the iOS platform in the US. Incidentally, reports suggest that most of the downloads were noted to be from Japan.

"Fire Emblem Heroes" is a free to play game that does not have microtransactions. The players will be able to replenish the used stamina or summon new heroes in the game by purchasing orbs.

Players of "Fire Emblem Heroes" Get Free Items By Talking To Their Heroes

"Fire Emblem Heroes" players will sometimes have their Heroes get hearts surrounding them in the Home screen. According to reports, this means that if they talk to them, their Heroes will give them a free item like Hero Feathers. A lot of these will reportedly be used later in the game, which means stocking up is a must if they can.

Meanwhile, healers in "Fire Emblem Heroes" are also reported to stop gaining experience, after a few turns of healing. Given that the only way to gain EXP is by healing, the players could farm a map that is ideal for healers, and complete the battle before beginning a new one to gain more EXP, IGN reported.
