The developer then answered that there won't be any microtransactions coming for the game.

Also Mathis de Jonge, the game's director also explained that the developers didn't intend to make "Horizon: Zero Dawn" to be an open world and to develop an RPG from the very beginning. However, it happened already during the process of its development.
