"Injustice 2" marketing campaign has officially started by Warner Bros. and NetherRealm with the release of an explosive story trailer. Pre-order pages for the game have reportedly gone up, along with some details about the Ultimate and Deluxe editions.
"Injustice 2" Fans Get More Details Through Pre-Order Pages
The "Injustice 2" Deluxe edition, which is priced at $80 allows the players to receive three downloadable fighters, one premier skin and an exclusive Defender shader for gear customization. As announced by Warner, the premier skins will generally change the appearance of the characters, offering new dialogue and a different voice.
On the other hand, "Injustice 2" Ultimate edition will cost $100, including two exclusive shader packs - Defender and Destroyer -, three premier skins and nine future fighters. The skins are reportedly for Supergirl, Green Lantern and The Flash.
Although the Deluxe edition of "Injustice 2" is said to be available only in digital, the standard and Ultimate versions are also available at retail and digital. Meantime, Darkseid is reportedly a pre-order bonus for the three versions. "Injustice 2" is set to release on May 16 on Xbox One and PS4, VG247 reported.
Two Additional Playable Villains Are Coming To "Injustice 2"
"Injustice 2" is confirmed to get two playable characters - Poison Ivy and Bane. This has been officially announced by WB Games through a statement released recently.
Aside from the two new playable characters, the new "Injustice 2" trailer also suggest that the fans can also expect Darkseid to come as a pre-order bonus, as the super-villain has been playable in the mobile edition of "Injustice: Gods Among Us". However, this will be the character's console debut.
"Injustice 2" is a follow-up to the hit fighting game "Injustice: Gods Among Us" in 2013 which gave the villains and heroes of DC Comics. The game is believed to continue the story of a world where Superman snapped and utilized his abilities to become a dictator and ruled the world with his fist of steel, according to WWG.
