Ubisoft has prepared several exciting in-game events for "Watch Dogs 2" to commemorate the release of its "T-Bone Bundle" DLC. Meanwhile, many Xbox One players recently downloaded the said gaming title for free given a glitch in a promo code.
A "Watch Dogs 2" promo code that was meant for a single download turned into an early Christmas gift for many Xbox One console owners, according to Power Up Gaming. Appearing on Microsoft's online store on Dec. 22 and shared through social media, as well as online communities, the special one-time code accidentally became reusable.
Thousands of Xbox One gamers were able to successfully download the game using the said code. Already deactivated, the glitched code may eventually lead to Microsoft removing "Watch Dogs 2: Deluxe Edition" from the game libraries of players who took advantage of the promo offer malfunction.
This is not the first time that a glitch happened in Microsoft's online gaming store. "Fallout 4" accidentally became a free game including all its expansions in June which led to the company revoking the access of gamers who downloaded the game, as stated in the same report.
In other news, Ubisoft's first DLC for "Watch Dogs 2" will be released for PC and Xbox One consoles on Jan. 24, 2017, while PS4 Season Pass holders can already enjoy the said pack. Titled "T-Bone Bundle," the DLC includes a new signature outfit, new enemy type, a tricked-out school bus and a new Mayhem co-op challenge.
To celebrate its release, the gaming company unveiled a special weekly "T-Bone Chaos Challenge" with various reward items. For four weeks, gamers are tasked to complete four challenges to get limited-edition skins for Marcus' bag and car, as well as an in-game currency prize of $30,000 and $35,000, according to an announcement posted on the game's website.
"Watch Dogs 2" weekly "T-Bone" challenge will run from Dec. 19 until Jan. 22, 2017. Learn more about the game's first DLC in the clip below:
