There's already a personalization pack available for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's legendary Captain Price, but now, Infinity Ward is exploring the flip side of the coin, and is offering up the good captain's nemesis as another personalization pack.
Vladamir Makarov, the mastermind behind World War III and villain of the second and third Modern Warfare games, is now available as DLC for Call of Duty: Ghosts, should players ever decide that playing on his side and wiping out an airport full of unarmed civilians just wasn't enough fun. Like the Price pack, Makarov's DLC comes with uniquely themed weapon camo, reticle, player patch, card, and background, all in a Matrix-y electric green. As of today, it's available exclusively for Xbox platforms at the humble cost of $3.99, but should eventually make its way over to PC and PlayStation consoles.
Additionally, former Ghosts squad member Rorke and Makarov's pal Zakhaev are also available as new playable characters for the game's multiplayer mode, along with a generic HAZMAT suit trooper. Each can be snagged at $1.99 a pop.
Good timing for the new multiplayer characters, as we're that much closer to the Call of Duty Championships. In the last few months, more than 500 teams across Europe competed for a spot in the European Championships, but only a mere handful qualified.
More than 20 teams from the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden and the rest of Europe went head to head over the weekend, but in the end, only a select few were good enough to emerge victorious.
Of those 26 teams, 13 are headed to the Los Angeles to represent their countries at the end of March, for the chance at winning the victor's share of $1,000,000.
According to a press release, The full list of teams to qualify from Europe are:

"Last year's championship came down to the final minute of the final match with everyone holding their breath to see who would win. The skill, passion and energy brought by these teams and the crowd looking-on showed just what makes our community the best in the world," said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, in a press release. "Call of Duty is more than a video game. It's a pastime shared by millions. It's exciting to play and fun to watch, and we can't wait to see what this year's event has in store."
Team Fariko Impact was the winner of last year's tournament, playing Call of Duty: Black Ops II on the Xbox 360, and winning $400,000 in all.
This tournament will be the first competitive CoD event played on the Xbox One in which prize money will be rewarded, and like last year, the whole thing will be streamed on Xbox Live and MLG.tv so everyone can watch.
